Data, Privacy & Security

This section explains how ElephantTrax handles your inventory data, photos, account access, sharing, syncing, and export options.

Elephant Trax is designed to keep your inventory data connected to your private account.

Your boxes, iteother saved details are stored securely and can only be accessed through your ElephantTrax m photos, item names, notes, keywords, locations, categories, custom fields, and account.

To help keep your data safe, always use the same login method you used when creating your account, keep your password private, and avoid sharing your login details with others.

Your item photos are stored securely in the cloud and connected to your Elephant Trax account.

This allows you to access your saved item photos when you log in from the same account on another device. It also helps keep your inventory available even if you change phones.

A stable internet connection may be required to upload, sync, or view photos that are stored in the cloud.

No. Other users cannot see your boxes, items, photos, or inventory details unless you choose to share access with them.

Your inventory is private to your Elephant Trax account. If you use the Account Sharing feature, only the person you invite and approve can access the shared account.

Only users you invite through Account Sharing can access your shared inventory.

When you invite someone, they receive an invitation by email and may also receive an app notification. The invited user must accept the invitation before they can access your shared account.

The primary user can remove shared access at any time from Settings > Account Sharing.

You can delete data from inside the ElephantTrax app.

For example, you may be able to delete:

  • Boxes
  • Items
  • Item photos
  • Notes
  • Keywords
  • Box details
  • Custom field information

To delete a box, go to the Browse page, select the box, and choose Delete. You can also open the Box Detail page and use the delete option from there.

To delete an item, open the item detail page and choose the delete option.

Before deleting any data, please review it carefully. Deleted boxes, items, photos, or details may no longer be available in your inventory.

To delete your Elephant Trax account, open the app and go to Settings or Account Settings. If the delete account option is available, follow the instructions shown in the app.

If you cannot find the delete account option, please contact Elephant Trax support and request account deletion.

When contacting support, include the email address connected to your Elephant Trax account so the support team can verify and process your request.

Deleting your account may permanently remove your boxes, items, photos, QR code connections, shared access, and other saved inventory data.

Elephant Trax is designed to help you manage your personal storage and inventory information.

Your inventory data, item photos, box details, and personal storage information are not intended to be sold to other users or third parties.

Your data is used to provide the app features, such as saving your inventory, syncing your account, showing your boxes and items, enabling QR code scanning, and supporting account sharing when you choose to use it.

Cloud sync keeps your Elephant Trax inventory connected to your account.

When you add or update boxes, items, photos, locations, categories, QR codes, notes, or custom fields, the app syncs that information with your account in the cloud.

This helps you access your inventory from another device when you log in with the same account and same login method.

A stable internet connection is required for syncing. If your data does not appear immediately, check your internet connection, refresh the app, and make sure you are logged in with the correct account.

If you change your phone, your inventory can still be available as long as your data is synced to your Elephant Trax account.

Install Elephant Trax on your new phone and log in using the same login method you used before, such as email login, Apple login, or Google login.

After logging in, your boxes, items, QR code connections, photos, locations, categories, and other saved details should sync to your new device.

Please remember that different login methods may create different accounts. For example, logging in with email and logging in with Apple may show different inventory data.

Yes, you can export your inventory data.

You may be able to export information such as:

  • Box labels
  • Item names
  • Notes
  • Keywords

  • Category
  • Custom field information
  • Other saved inventory details

If Elephant Trax web access is available, you can log in to the web app and use the export option, such as CSV export, to download your inventory data.

Exporting your data can be useful for backup, insurance records, moving, business inventory, or sharing organized records outside the app.
